The
Diving
Reef and Drift dives
Most dives are naturally reef and drift dives. The occasional
up and down currents require good buoyancy control and confidence.
Every dive will be prepared for on board. There will be the
tender boat on standby and pick up divers whenever required.
Wreck dives
Wreck dives will be conducted however no penetration is allowed.
(Check out our special training below.)
Water temperatures, maximum dive
depths and safety stops:
Temperatures vary, in principle 27 and 30 degrees Celsius.
Below 12 metres may decrease slight gradually. Maximum dive
depths for sports divers is 30 to 36 metres, but the dive
master will decide the depth per dive. Highly qualified divers
trained for deeper diving will have to make special arrangement
with the office prior to the trip. Please be aware that there
are no DECO chambers on the island here except back to the
mainland. SAFETY STOPS are therefore extra essential.
Number of dives
We plan 2 to 3 dives per day. On the first day we start with
01 check-dive, on the last we offer only 1 dive. A precise
number of dives cannot be given.
Dive equipment
We advise 2 to 3 mm wetsuits, mask, snorkel, fins, BCD, regulator
with octopus, pressure and depth gauge, dive knife, dive watch
or computer (recommended). Weights are available on board.
All equipment can also be rented (it is necessary to make
your reservation through the office when you make your booking).
On board the vessel
We have 2 compressors and 24, 80 cu.ft single aluminium dive
cylinders, 8 sets twin cylinders and 6, 30 cu.ft stage.cylinders
.
